Frequently asked questions
The things clients ask before their first booking. If yours is not here, write to us and we will answer it properly.
Standard ocean and air lanes are quoted within four working hours. Project cargo, dangerous goods and anything needing a route survey take longer because we price them properly rather than guessing — expect a response within two working days.
Yes. We are a licensed Japanese customs broker with AEO status and we file declarations ourselves through NACCS. At the destination we work with partner brokers in 42 countries, and we can arrange import clearance as part of a door-to-door booking.
There is no minimum. A single pallet moves on our weekly LCL consolidation or as air cargo. Very small parcels are usually cheaper through a courier, and we will tell you when that is the case rather than take the booking.
Every booking gets a tracking number in the format NR-00000000. Enter it on the Track & Trace page to see each milestone, where the cargo was when the milestone was recorded, and the current estimated arrival date.
Yes, in both bonded and general warehouse space. Bonded storage lets you defer import duty until the goods actually enter the Japanese market, which is useful if you are holding stock for re-export.
Carrier liability is limited by international convention and is rarely enough to cover the real value of the goods. We arrange separate all-risk marine cargo insurance on request and recommend it for anything of substantial value.

Have cargo to move out of Japan?
Send us the origin, the destination and what is in the box. Most lanes are quoted the same working day.
